  This is probably from what is now known in English as Sonchon or Sonch’on, North Korea, a town and county in the far northwest of the country. It was also spelled Sen Sen, Syen Shun, Syen Chun and a few other variations in early 20th century publications.   There is a history of the school and convent available here. "One of the sisters who had a deep and lasting influence on the life of the Convent in Bunclody was Mother Victoire Henahan. She had come to the convent as Superior in 1883 at the age of twenty nine and she was also in charge of the secondary school for a number of years."   these row shelters were usually two or three room homes. also, there was't any air conditioning nor heating. the stoves oven, if it had one, was used as the heater. this looks like a saturday or sunday afternoon. most are dressed in their sunday best. these labor camps were scattered all the way down to Brownsville. we lived in one in Harlingen.
