these row shelters were usually two or three room homes. also, there was't any air conditioning nor heating. the stoves oven, if it had one, was used as the heater. this looks like a saturday or sunday afternoon. most are dressed in their sunday best. these labor camps were scattered all the way down to Brownsville. we lived in one in Harlingen.

you can really see the Indian in this man. I think while he looks tired he has much dignity Robstown is a small town between Kingsville and Corpus Christi. Mostly citrus and grown there as well as vegetables and cotton. When going through there we usually stop at a small roadside stand to buy citrus.
