I think the geolocation on the map might be out. This bridge is over the Boyne, but the one indicated in the map is over the Blackwater. I think this bridge is Athlumney Bridge, which now carries the R153 (you can get a look at the environs in Google Street View - not quite as bucolic anymore). Not ringing any bells. I wonder if this is the Liffey at all? Hmmm, Celbridge, maybe?

White water and a weir to the left? ie flowing right to left? And possibly the bridge is over a tributary?

I've wandered up and down the Liffey on the 25"OSI map, and nothing struck me as particularly likely.

An idea, which I can't prove: Navan, and the River Boyne. About here - www.google.com/maps/place/Navan,+Co.+Meath,+Ireland/@53.6... Because the next item in the catalogue numerically is this beautiful nearby canal bridge - catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000557530 ( goo.gl/maps/ZzyTmzAQcevy1oSMA ) The 25" map looks promising. Or not ??

?? catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000319477 ?? Edit: NO! That is the other bridge in Navan.
