    This picture is probably from 1896 or so. At this time mass-tourism had started. Digermulen is considered the birt-place of tourism in Northern-Norway.

    Digermulen again, still 1896. We still see the old sailboat, jekt, in the harbour. In the foreground drying grass. We see the big house where fish was processed, there were a pub there, rooms for fishermen, salt, barrels and so on. The small white house was the general store. Then the big house of the owner, at this time it was Normann. The smaller house for the workers, and behind it the bakery. Then in front the red barn. At the shore there are two fishermans huts, rorbuer.
