Ada Comstock (December 11, 1876-December 12, 1973) was an American women's education pioneer. She served as the first dean of women at the University of Minnesota and later as the first full-time president of Radcliffe College. Her parents, Duncan MacInnes and Frances Sayers, were born in Scotland and England respectively; she was born in Salt Lake City. books.google.com/books?id=rzROAAAAMAAJ&dq=%22Frances%... Her brother, Duncan Arthur MacInnes (1885-1965), was also born in Salt Lake City, also attended the University of Illinois, for grad school; he earned a PhD there in 1911, and became a professor of Physical Chemistry at MIT.
