  Presumably en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleonora_Sears, a well known tennis player and horsewoman. "Eleonora Sears rode horses competitively and was elected to the US Show Jumping Hall of Fame in 1992. She also owned and raced Thoroughbred horses. She was the first woman to play polo on a men’s team."

  The only weapons visible are bayonets. The cart/carrier is interesting. Is it perhaps a field telegraph unit? I'd defer to others more familiar with Kaiserlich uniforms as to whether these are "marine infantry".

  These are clearly Marines of the Marinekorps Flandern, likely to be men of a Seebatillon, given the distinctive headgear (Tschako + Überzug). They can be seen here, without the cloth cover: Mounted on the - interesting - cart is a Mashinengewehr 1908
