The results are very nice, I am sure you are busy but I would be very interested to see a snap of your capture setup and a bit of info about lighting, exposure etc. if you don't mind sharing and have the time of course.     Now, I didn't know a 55mm lens from a .50 cal. machine gun, back in 1960, but I have never seen a macro lens ( which he would need to shoot something like a mantis closeup) that looked anything like that. If anything, it resembles my first (1969) 500mm telephoto. If the actual target was an osprey nest in the Everglades, he might have a lens like that, but not for a bug. I have a feeling that Mr. Marks was hamming it up for the camera in this shot. Even if he isn't clowning, his helmet makes him look like an official photographer for the North Vietnamese Army.
