"Vitalick was the original livestock supplement in Australia and has been assisting in livestock nutrition since the 1920." according to the current (2009) supplier, Rational Nutrition Pty. Ltd.

Oh wow they had Canon 1Ds mkIII's in 1882?! Hehe I guess you are using this to speed up the scanning workflow, good idea. The results are very nice, I am sure you are busy but I would be very interested to see a snap of your capture setup and a bit of info about lighting, exposure etc. if you don't mind sharing and have the time of course. Keep up the good work =)
