How common was it to take photographs of other photographs back then? Notice the pushpins and what appear to be feet in a photograph underneath.

This would most likely have been during the bombardment of Derna by Pisa and other Italian ships between October 15 and 18, 1912.

Pisa served in WWI, then was reclassified as a coastal battleship in 1921 and used as a training ship until being scrapped in 1937.
