  Classic deco design. In fact, there is one almost exactly the same in my hometown of St Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

  trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/245844234 - this pic appeared in the Sydney Daily Telegraph on 12th February, 1926 (see pic lower lhs)...it was evidently taken in Sydney the previous day when officers from the NSW Staff Corps entertained officers from the visiting Japanese cruiser HIJMS Iwate at a tennis party held at Victoria Barracks. trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/245844037 - the Daily Telegraph's report... Per the Daily Telegraph, the Japanese officers present included Lieutenant Commander K. Nakae, Lieutenant T. Hadaka, Lieutenant Shigenaga, Sub-Lieutenant I. Ikegami and Sub- Lieutenant N. Kimura. The commander of HIJMS Iwate was evidently Captain Yedahara...it's unclear whether he attended the Victoria Barracks tennis party. Per the Daily Telegraph the local tennis players included 'Mrs. Noel Cox Taylor, Miss Cox Taylor, the Misses Dorothy and Olga Bruche (twins), Miss Kidstone, Mr and Miss Harper, Mrs. Solby, Mrs. Bevis.'
