That's Newbridge station between Kildare and Sallins, looking eastwards. Interesting photo, the buildings haven't changed that much.

Ciarán Cooney Aha, so that's why I was having difficulty finding "Kilbride" station! It really hasn't changed. So used it be called Kilbride??

I was looking at the location and trying to think when I ever saw a railway line near Kilbride. I may be mistaken but I don't think there ever was one???? Doesn't matter anyway that is a good shot of Newbridge and it looked like that any time I passed through it.

I've always known it to be Newbridge, I checked wiki history and there's no mention of Kilbride, but I don't know! There's the large barracks in Newbridge town, which I presume the soldiers are coming from. This is roughly the site of barracks today.

Dit is toch geen echte kampeerder? Wat doet dat stro in dat zielige pubtentje en die platte stenen voor de tent? Zijn korte broek wordt opgehouden door een riem, anders zakt ie af. Lijkt me eerder een vagebond of een natuur onderzoeker.

My detective work tells me that this is the building that is now Mulligan's Pharmacy - the bit with the sign saying "41 - Surgery".
