    Date on negative is 9/9/12. He died on July 30, 1912. Funeral was in September. NYT article on September 8, 1912 [ query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9502E4DA113AE633A... ] shows the oxen being led through Tokyo streets to temporary housing before funeral. They had been brought from Kyoto.

Harvesting sugar cane in a burned field, vicinity of Guanica, Puerto Rico. Burning the sugar cane gets rid of the dense leaves and makes cutting the unharmed stalks easier (LOC)
