From the beginning of his employment with the Queensland Government Department of Agriculture in 1897, until his retirement more than 30 years later, he travelled widely throughout Queensland, photographing industry and scenery everywhere he went. His work was seen by millions but the majority of this huge photographic archive does not bear his name. It was his job, and one which he performed with a passion."
