    The original image appears highly edited. The troops in the foreground are from a different source photo than cannons, which are again a different source photo from the background itself.

    The airship looks like it's pasted in, too. Since this is earlier than 1918 in the general Bain picture flow, this might be an illustration from closer to the time the Germans took Ostend in mid-October, 1914. Are those German flags flying and German soldiers on the embankment?
