This must have been taken sometime in 1916. Olympic was chartered by the Canadian government in that year for troop transport and was still painted in wartime grey with blackened funnels (as shown). In 1917, and until the end of the war, she was painted in dazzle camouflage.

These are the American skaters who competed in the 1924 winter Olympics. According to the Evening Star. January 14, 1924, Page 27, chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn83045462/1924-01-14/ed-... "PARIS, January 14.—The American Olympic skating team, in charge of William Taylor, the manager, reached Paris yesterday, much fatigued from an unusually rough crossing. Charles Jewtraw, Harry Kaskey, William Steinmetz. Valentine Bialis and Richard Donovan recuperated promptly, but Joe Moore was seasick for nine days, and is badly used up. The team will leave for Chamonix this evening. Miss Beatrix Loughran, the champion figure skater, accompanied the team."

The team left for Europe on the President Monroe on January 2, 1924 according to the Evening Star. I think it must have been on the outgoing trip, because Beatrix Loughran went on to the world figure-skating championships (Feb 16-17, 1924).
