Poor old Morris! There must be a way to find out who it belonged to and the story of the prang.

I think it is a Morris Cowley, after 1926. Previous models had the famous 'bull-nose' - see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morris_Cowley#Morris_Cowley_.281926.29 Close inspection of the radiator badge reveals "MORRIS COWLEY".

beachcomber australia It seems that until 1930 car registrations fell within the relm of NSW Police, and after to Dept Road Transport & Tramways. Either way it'll be a trip out to the NSW State records!

[https://www.flickr.com/photos/130134923@N07] There's not a great deal of information available on this particular image but the photographer William James Hall worked mostly from his studio in Sydney. It could be worth your while to search the Sydney newspapers of 1915 at TROVE trove.nla.gov.au/ or NSW State Records. If you find anything interesting please share it with us. Good luck!

Great photograph. Interesting to note that those lamp posts remain and are Grade II Listed.
