Metro Bridge still under construction across the Ouse Burn Valley. The Byker Bypass (road) still hasn't been built either. Aside from those it's interesting to see a lot of green 'gaps' in the general area - they're now mosty built on..

One of those cars parked at Clifford St. Police Station could well be mine!! I walked the streets during this period, with the 'wall' site office/architect's office was a good 'tea spot'. There or the catering van for the filming of When The Boat Comes In... Times were tough back then!
