The Saddle and Show Horse Chronicle, Volume 7, 1917-1918 shows that Miss Wanamaker was an extremely successful horsewoman. The sign on the track indicates this is the judging for Class 30, which at the 1917 Long Branch Horse Show was for "Shetland or Welsh Ponies not exceeding 12.2". Richard Norton It's not clear to me that these photos were taken at the Monmouth Park Racetrack. The Wikipedia entry indicates the Long Branch track had gone out of business in 1894. This entry en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monmouth_County_Horse_Show indicates the show changed venues over the years.
