Their real names were Michel and Edmond Navratil, ages 2 and 4. The boys had been abducted from France by their father, who drowned when the Titanic went down. Their mother later learned of their fate, and sailed to New York to claim them and take them back to France. Michel, the oldest, lived to age 92. PS I have my own large Titanic model,1:200 scale or 4.4 ft or 1.35 metres long in a diorama, which shows the waves, bow and stern wakes, and clouds. I think you'll like it! "Titanic Waifs back in Maman's Arms"
From NYTimes dated May 17, 1912. Their mother came over from France to be reunited with the boys.

"Four-year-old Michel and two-year-old Edmond Navratil, the two waifs who were saved from the sinking Titanic and brought to this city under the temporary guardianship of Miss Margaret Hayes, of 304 West Eighty-third Street, another survivor, are waifs no longer. They have a mother now, just like other children of less romantic and adventurous infancy."

Here's bio of their father. Apparently, he'd taken the boys from their mother and was making his way to America. His body was recovered from the ocean:

Interesting. This looks like a case where the title on the negative "Louis & Lola ? - Titanic survivors" is the best choice to reflect the temporary loss of their real names. Will add a note to provide that info and a bit of the circumstances. Same for the 2 related images:

I find any information on Titantic passengers fascinating. It is such a tragic piece of history
