Ferries KALANG, KOONDOOLOO underway with a warship (possibly HMAS CANBERRA) and HMAS ANZAC at anchor, Sydney Harbour

The Heavy Cruiser looks like either HMAS Canberra or HMAS Australia.

The Kalang and Koondooloo were made obsolete as car ferries, following the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, and eventually converted to Harbour Showboats, immediately popular with the public , Kalang later renamed the 'Sydney Queen'. For their chequered history and sad demise, see: www.ferriesofsydney.com/kalang.html
