President John F. Kennedy enjoying the Orange Bowl game: Miami, Florida

President Kennedy (1917-1963) appears to be talking with Florida Governor Farris Bryant (1914-2002), seated to the President's left. Behind the President, smoking his pipe, is U.S. Senator Mike Mansfield (1953-1977). Seated beside Senator Mansfield (looking away) is U.S. Representative Claude Pepper (1900-1989). In front (L-R) is Edward Grant Stockdale (1915-1963), the U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, U.S. Congressman Dante Fascell (1917-1998), and the Governor's wife, Mrs. Julia Bryant (1918-1996). Congressmen Pepper and Fascell were Florida Democrats, and Senator Mansfield was a Montana Democrat, and the Senate Majority Leader. Stockdale was a former Florida State Representative. Governor Bryant, a Democrat, was in office from 1961-1965. – Excerpted from Florida Memory Reference with additional information added. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] [ 5] [ 6 ] [ 7 ]

On Wikipedia: James H. Davis, " Populist Party organizer and a Democratic Congressman from Texas"

LOC: Caption should have middle initial as "H." not "N."

    Typo: Cyclone, not Cylcone.

Hard to tell, but he appears to be wearing a bolo tie, which Wikipedia says is claimed to have been invented in the mid 20th century: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolo_tie

This could be a very important photo in the history of men's fashions! :)
