These photos were given to me by my mother in-law, and she says that according to her family records, Rev. William Cook was in Matawatchan in 1872. If anyone has any more information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Gail Holtzhauer told me her Grandfather Charles Strong ran the General Store and Post Office from about 1910 to 1920. Mark and I found the original store sign with Chas. Strong Matawatchan painted on it. It is now at the Matawatchan Hall. (Lois Thomson)

So many fond memories of walking down to the store to spend 25 cents on candy!
