    Foynes, Askayton, Tarbert and Glin! the four manest towns that I ever was in!!! A friend from Clare was fond of reciting that line to my friend from Askeaton and myself. It was not my experience though, I always loved the three Limerick towns in any event. The Shannon is majestic down around there and the scenery is worth the trip!

    The whole country was in bits in 1990. When I came back in the late '90s after living abroad for four years I didn't know the place and the change between then and now has been massive too. Tempus fugit, eh?
