    Thank you!!! Saved into my collection of airship pictures!!! Planes back then were itty-bitty, uncomfortable, and the only thing they had in their favor vs Zeppelins was faster flying speeds.

    Yes it is in 1936 Hindenburg made its first flight to USA in May (arrived 20th and departed on the 21st) and in all a total of 10 flights (final one in October), all to Lakehurst. She made just one flight in 1937 and how that one ended we all know! NC16001 was delivered to AA June 6th in 1936. So the picture is taken somewhere between July 2nd and October 10th 1936 at Lakehurst, all according to the log of Hindenburg. Stig
