National Library of Ireland on The Commons I found out a bit more today. Looking though the Nationalist & Leinster Times I find evidence of the Kelly Family being there from 1914 onwards. They pop up advertising livestock & land to rent, etc, pretty frequently. There seem to be two farmers operating out of Killinane House - William & John, sometimes John P Kelly. The latter was also an agent buying pigs for the Irish Co-op Meat Ltd from the mid 1920s. On 23/10/1926 there is an obituary (with maddening little detail) for Mrs Mary Kelly of Killinane House who died aged 86 on 14/10/1926. Her death cert described her as widow to a farmer & the death was reported by her son John Kelly. The age I have for William Kelly at his death & for Mary Kelly, leads me to conclude that at the time of the 1911 Census, the Kelly family were resident in Ballyteigelea in Borris. Here is the Census form.
