Aviator Horace F. Kearny (b. 1885 - d. 1912). See: earlyaviators.com/ekearney.htm earlyaviators.com/ekearne1.htm Though the caption below the photo above and Early Aviators site (as do some others, and even some contemporary publications) spell his name as "Kearney", the proper spelling is Kearny, as can be seen on his headstone at Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence, Missouri.
