New-York tribune., January 12, 1918, Page 14 chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn83030214/1918-01-12/ed-... has Wasservogel as a defense counsel. The bio pennylrichardsca linked to indicates that he was elected to the New York State Supreme Court in 1920.

NYT of December 29, 1915 select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F10813FE3B5B1773... reports his resignation as assistant district attorney and that he and another of the assistant district attorneys not staying on were to set up together in private law practice.
