Woodrow Wilson's daughters, I assume?

See www.flickr.com/photos/library_of_congress/2478431234/ for another picture of Eleanor and Jessie.

How unfortunate that the girls look just like their father.

They traveled with their father for a month's vacation on Bermuda shortly after he had been elected President of the U.S. NYT of Nov 17, 1912 describes the departure and first day aboard the Bermudian query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=990CE6DE1E3AE633A... A terrible photograph of the lovely daughter of President Woodrow Wilson, she married Francis Bowes Sayre in a White House wedding ceremony, on November 25, 1913.

The man is probably Francis B. Sayre (Wikipedia), whom she married in 1913. There's a fragment of his name backwards at the bottom of his picture. See also Williams College

For heaven's sake, LOC -- Two Question Marks! Y'all call yourself the Library of Congress, and you don't know that President Woodrow Wilson's elder daughter was named Jessie Woodrow?? And if she had been born male, she would have been Woodrow Wilson, Jr. She and Francis Bowes Sayre were wed on November 25, 1913. A couple of Bain/LOC photos of Sayre were posted here a week or two ago: And another shot of Sayre was posted by LOC on April 30, 2010:

That was done in Photoshop 0.3?

Logista and Wystan: Thanks identifying Sayre. We'll include it next time we update the source data.
