Hi, I'm an admin for a group called 20th-Century Prefab Homes, Do you know if these are FSA prefabs? If so, we'd love to have the photo added to the group.

jenosale, Thank you for your interest in these photos! We know that the FSA program did build some prefabricated buildings, though we don't have sufficient information to confirm that these are prefabricated houses. You can find photos of prefabricated buildings in the larger "Farm Securities Administration / Office of War Information Black-And-White Negatives" collection available through the Prints and Photographs Online Catalog available at: www.loc.gov/rr/print/catalog.html. Start your research there with the term "prefabricated."

Wow, thanks for the tip! I had no idea there was an FSA prefab in Greenbelt, MD. Will those neg scans get posted to Flickr eventually? Perhaps not, since they're so lo-res.

jenosale, You can learn more about this pilot project of Libary of Congress collections on Flickr at: www.loc.gov/rr/print/flickr_pilot_faq.html. We'll make a note of your request for high resolution images of the Farm Securities Administration / Office of War Information Black-And-White Negatives collection. Thank you!
