The article describes the bodies being brought from Archangelsk, Russia aboard the army transport Lake Daraga to Pier 4 in Hoboken, NJ, a funeral ceremony on the pier, then a procession to a mortuary where the bodies could be claimed by families.

I (and my parents and sister) sailed from that very same dock, on the Holland-America Line's MAASDAM, in August, 1956. After a nine-day voyage, we landed in ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands.
