    Belmont's Farm is described in this New York Times article from 1911 March 05: query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=980DE7DE1431E233A... The farm was ~200 acres on Long Island. It was not, as one might suppose, a home for "wayward women" or delinquents, but a place to learn a real trade.
