  But the movie could be "Britton of the Seventh" (and not "Battle Cry of Peace") since that was a Vitagraph movie. Since Blackton was a principal in Vitagraph and a technical movie-maker, he might well have been around.

  Confirmed this as Blackton directing "Battle Cry of War", working title of "Womanhood, Glory of the Nation". The New York Dramatic Mirror uses this shot in its September 9, 1916 edition, with the caption "Vice President J.
