Samuel J. Hood had one of his photos of this event published in the Melbourne 'Argus' - trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/3890173 - described as Monday 7th November 1927. The pontoon and sheerlegs belonged to the Sydney Harbour Trust.
