Here’s a selection of the conversations happening on these photos:

A.E.G. C.III

  • Kees Kort said:
Given the four bladed propellers this an A.E.G. G.III. The later G.IV had twin bladed propellers.
  • Kees Kort said:
G.III from the Großflugzeug category, not C.III which was a single-engined two-seat reconnaissance biplane.

Friedrichshafen, G.III

  • Kees Kort said:
As the picture shows a Friedrichshafen G type with a single fin, this is a Friedrichshafen G.III. The later developments G.IIIa and G.IV and G.V all had a "double tail" section, that is two rudders and two elevators in a box like construction. This is a classic view of a brand new looking Friedrichshafen G.III arriving in the field, with lots of interested personnel who want to inspect this technical marvel.

Fuji, LM-1

The identity of these Japanese labelled machines have been mixed up inadvertently. Sure it is not a Friedrichshafen dating from1918 but something from the 1950 / 1960's ?

Kees Kort Yep, a mix up in the upload. Please let me know if you see any other ones.
