As the picture shows a Friedrichshafen G type with a single fin, this is a Friedrichshafen G.III. The later developments G.IIIa and G.IV and G.V all had a "double tail" section, that is two rudders and two elevators in a box like construction. This is a classic view of a brand new looking Friedrichshafen G.III arriving in the field, with lots of interested personnel who want to inspect this technical marvel.

The identity of these Japanese labelled machines have been mixed up inadvertently. Sure it is not a Friedrichshafen dating from1918 but something from the 1950 / 1960's ?
