According to Jay Schwartz' (FockerJ7) Bucket The picture shows D.I 2406/16, one of three built examples. The data about this aircraft are a little bit sketchy. The F-VII tag on this is a mistake. This plane is a World War One biplane fighter, but the F-VII was a monoplane transport of the 1920s.

The picture shows the Friedrichshafen FF 33e Marinenummer '841' nicknamed Wölfchen. This plane was on board of the German ship 'Wolf' on its 64000 mile trip around the oceans (even till New Zealand) in the event destroying many ships. The 'Wölfchen' was the plane carried by the ship for reconnaissance. When the weather was good it was hoisted overboard with a crane and after the flight brought in again via the same method.

The identity of these Japanese labelled machines have been mixed up inadvertently. Sure it is not a Friedrichshafen dating from1918 but something from the 1950 / 1960's ?
