The picture shows a Friedrichshafen FF 49c in Swedish Navy service with Navy code '26'. Sweden bought two FF 49c direct from Friedrichshafen in January 1919 which obtained Navy codes '23' and '24'. They lasted till 1924 when written off. Two other FF 49c planes were taken into the Navy military operation as '25' and '26'. More information and pictures of the Swedish Navy operated FF 49c seaplanes can be seen at www.avrosys.nu/aircraft/MFV/057ff49c/57FF49C.htm

Kees is correct of course, and the only thing I feel need to be corrected is his use of the word code for 26. To me a code is something which change while a serial number is something permanent. In this case the digits 26 is the aircraft's permanent identity and never changed during its lifetime. It was by the way built by Sablatnig. Stig

Thanks to the original scanning Marinenummer 530 can be defined which makes it a Friedrichshafen FF 33e unarmed reconnaissance seaplane. Clearly the three bay wing can be seen.
