Moise Lessard Tombstone

    Thank you so much for posting this! Moïse le 1er Lessard ('Moses 1') was my great-great grandfather. He donated land in Flinton to the Catholic Church. His land is where St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, it's cemetery and manse now stand. His portrait is on display in the "Lessard Room" at St. John The Evangelist.

    John Bolton mentioned that in the 1960s or 70s the mine was owned by a mining wing of Canadian Pacific Railway because Rick Wilson had the trapping rights to the mine area and he had to renew his agreement each year with CPR.

    Hmmmm. Maybe. Mary's father was a Magistrate so there may have been Court held in Northbrook at the time. We will need to investigate further.
