ITHACA SWIMMING POOL When it comes to location, few outdoor pools can beat Ithaca, nestled as it is among the leafy expanses of Paddington and across the road from Suncorp Stadium. Cafes, bars and restaurants are just a short stroll up the street for those in search of some post-swim refreshments (if the dip itself hasn't done the relaxing trick, that is). The nearby highways might be bustling; however, inside the grass-lined confines of the complex, there's nothing but serenity. Anyone know which corner this is? Perhaps the northeast corner of Alaska and MLK? Or would it be SE? Probably not the W side because you don't see Beacon Hill in the background. If the location is Alaska and Empire (MLK) it's not really Beacon Hill -- it's in the Valley.

Based on the county's 1936 aerial photos of that intersection, you were right to think NE. You can go over to iMAP, hit Property Search, and enter parcel 6056110020; at the bottom of the Layers frame, expand Imagery and select 1936 B/W Aerial Photos. Sadly I can't figure out any way to link to a specific parcel in iMAP, much less select active layers.
