Several interior and exterior renovations were undertaken during 2000-2008, including the addition of new, public, entrances on the Constitution Avenue side.[1]

Here is another photo of the cow, but the spots don't look the same to me! What's the story? Is one of the images actually reversed, so we're really seeing the cow's other side? Or is one the PREVIOUS presidential cow, Mooly Wooly? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cow-taft.jpg Thanks for this photo, by the way, it was a big thrill for me. I'm from Wisconsin, and my grandfather shook hands with president Taft in 1912 when Taft visited Appleton, Wisconsin. Grandpa was ten years old. The president suddenly turned to him and said, "Little boy, how would you like to shake hands with the president of the United States?" Big turning point and influence on my grandfather's life. When George Bush came to Appleton, the Post-Crescent newspaper declared it was the first time a "sitting president" had come to town. My grandfather straightened the newspaper out, which was duly acknowledged in a follow up article. Pauline was from Kenosha, Wisconsin. The original detailed New York Times newspaper article about Pauline can be viewed at: query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?_r=1&res=9507E...
