Unveiling Dunbar Memorial at Watson's Bay 1930

    It was Saturday 23/08/1930 according to the SMH of the following Monday, illustrated - trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/16677731 The same newspaper photo with the flags still fluttering is in the Fairfax collection - nla.gov.au/nla.pic-vn6303909 And the same issue of the SMH has a brief description - "... ANCHOR AND TABLET UNVEILED Near the Gap, at Watson's Bay, a trachyte tablet and one of the anchors of the Dunbar were unveiled by Dr Norrie president of the Royal Australian Historical Society. The circumstances of the wreck were related to a crowd of interested people by Captains Watson and Bayldon, and Mr. K.R. Cramp, secretary of the society. " trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/16677889
