    Market day in Delvin was/is Friday. That's my conclusion from searching for "Delvin market" in the Westmeath Guardian and looking at the first 10 results. Now all that's required are year, month and day of month.

    The lad, donkey and cart are in all photos. Perhaps it is Mr French's clobber in the cart ?

    We were nearby (a month ago) in January 1901, when there were renovations going on behind the central pillars - The new windows and doors are looking a little worn in the top photo, so probably a while after 1901 ?     I'm wondering about the railings up around the Rotunda / Parnell Square... But nope, not high enough or fancy enough. Merrion Square is out too. It is a Mason photo though, so could be anywhere in Ireland.
