Boxers can be fine family dogs if you can provide enough exercise and training to control their rambunctiousness when young and if you can provide for their special needs due to their unnaturally short face. As puppies and young adults, Boxers are animated, playful (often cuckoo!) dogs who love to romp and jump. Middle-aged Boxers typically become more deliberate and dignified and make calm, loyal companions for the rest of their (unfortunately not very long) lives. History of the Australian Shepherds Not only are Aussie Shepherd’s not Australian, they’re actually originally from the United States. Bonus fact: Local icon Nicole Kidman was also born in the States. We don’t know what to believe in anymore. Their North American roots stretch back to the 19th century, and they’re thought to be descendants of Spanish herding dogs that originated in the Basque region of Spain and France. Those European dogs were brought to the US with herds of Merino sheep. Unfortunately, how they picked up their Down Under name is lost to history. Maybe their charm and intelligence just reminded people so much of Australians. Source: www.offtheleash.com.au/dog-breeds/breed-of-the-week-austr...
