This Florence Gilbert is probably the one listed as a debutante for the 1915-16 season. There's a large image of her as a debutante here: query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=FA0613F83E5E13738... Florence Emily Gilbert, daughter of Mrs. Cyril P. W. Dugmore and the Henry Bramhall Gilbert (1861-1911), married Sgt. Russell Evans Tucker at her mother's Park Avenue home, April 1918. Florence's mother, Lilla Brokaw Gilbert Dugmore:
(Mrs. Dugmore's maiden name is mentioned in her cousin Irving Brokaw's wikipedia entry:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irving_Brokaw ) -

pennylrichardsca: thanks for the link to the New York Times image of Florence Gilbert. She does look like the same woman in the Bain image. We will update the description with more details.

Gosh, those eyes! She's listed in a play by Philip Barry in 1928, although that might be a bit late. A few more roles in the 1930s follow en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holiday_(play) "Hope Williams, New York society girl, has her first starring role." There are also a few society listings in the 1910s of Hope Williams as a bridesmaid. Not an altogether uncommon name, so it's hard to tell if it's her.

I'm seeing Hope Waldron Williams as a debutante in fall 1915; her married older sister threw a luncheon for her in November 1915: query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=FB0810F9395D16738... There's also a wedding announcement in 1922, for Hope Waldron Williams ("Junior League member and amateur actress") and R. Bartow Read, married at her sister's house in Rye NY. query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F20815FF3C5D1A7A9... R. Barton Read (d. 1931) was part of the "Millionaires' Unit" from Yale, during WWI : www.millionairesunit.org/index.php?option=com_content&...
