The Great Dayton Flood occurred in March 1913. It's still the greatest natural in Ohio history. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Dayton_Flood

My mother's parents and grandparents were rescued by boat, they lived on Dekalb Street right by the river. This is not them, but I can feel connected as they were saved the same way and lived to give birth to her.

I would like to add your photo to my website Police Cars of Oregon. This is my own website I started years before there was flicker. I always give full credit to the photographer. Your photos would be a great addition to Police Cars of Oregon. Many thanks Todd

Probably would've saved more gas to take those patrol cars off the road! I'm guessing a 440 V8 with four-barrel carb, 3-speed auto with non-lockup torque converter and 4.11 gears -if you filled one with rocks and pushed it off a cliff with the engine off and the tank drained it would probably still get 8 mpg on the way down.
