(Hopefully this could also be a way to locate the other Norwegian photos we will publish later this week and the next!) The place on the photo is indeed Tonsaasen Sanatorium, in Etnedal Municipality in Valdnes area and Oppland fylke (county). Have a look in Wikimedia Commons: commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tons%c3%a5sen_sanatorium_... The Swedish photographer Axel Lindahl (1841-1906) was contemporary with Carl Curman: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axel_Lindahl I wonder if they met and discussed photography?   Going through the Swiss photochromes on the LOC website, almost all of the winter pictures are from Graubünden/Grisons. In addition to the numbering, which puts them in the vicinity of the now identified images of Davos and St. Moritz (both in Graubünden), "Winter scene in Grisons, Switzerland" is likely the best description...
