Queenstown properly known as Cobh (pronounced "cove") nowadays.

A view from Queenstown to Her Majesty's shipyard at Haulbowline. Founded by Oliver Cromwell as a victualling base for the English Navy. Most of the buildings are built from Limestone quarried from the Island. This view is taken from North to South and also overlooks Roches point Lighthouse, Fort Davis, Fort Camden and the spike Island Star Fort & Prison. The Island has held the Royal Navy, Irish Coastal Marine Service and to date the Irish Naval Service.
