Teelin Coastguard station which was built in 1871 and replaced an earlier coastguard station on the site that was apparently in existence in the early 1820s Yes, the DIA confirms 1871.

The boat is the Ovoca built in 1908 in Arklow, later fishing out of Balbriggan.

The Coastguard station in the photo wasn't there when the 25" Ordnance Survey map was created, so that may provide some dating evidence. The NIAH suggest it was built circa 1910, so this photo must be later. www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&...
