"EVICTIONS IN CLONGOREY: THIRTY-NINE PERSONS HOMELESS" is the heading of a lengthy report in Freeman's dated November 24 1888. No mention of corn or fires, but it does say
The houses of the tenants were mostly mud hovels, and the Emergency men did not find much difficulty in battering them in.
Also:Two evictions were abandoned, Dr Murphy, of Newbridge, having certified that the tenants, who were old women, were in a dying state and unfit for removal.

This is my chief suspect: maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V2,681209,718750,11,9, based on the topography and the census saying that clongorey extends down to oldconnell. It's gone now though.

23 November 1888 according to this YouTube video (part 1 of 4). John and Andrew Fox are mentioned at 7:43.

EDIT: I think the 1888 date must be wrong. There is no mention in Trove of anything before 1889 - trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/result?q=clongorey+evictions+&... -
