Clarence Chester Childs (1884-1960) was an American athlete who took the bronze medal for the hammer throw in the 1912 Olympics. Here he is at Wikipedia, and This January, 1912, New York Times item notes his resignation as captain of the Yale track team. Simon Peter Gillis (1880-1964), a Canadian-born American athlete who competed in the 1908 and 1912 summer Olympics. Sports Reference webpage.
