    Haystacks with fences? Dairy farm?
  • artpease said:
My question exactly about those haystacks. Probably for beef cattle. Not sure why the fences around the stacks, as all the fields themselves seem to be fenced.
  • artpease said:
Oops! I see that there are several haystacks within one fenced field.
  • pgcosmin said:
The fences were protecting the hay while the cattle grazed there. The hay was for winter time.

Speaker was at one time considered one of the three greatest AL outfielders along with Cobb and Ruth. Kind of an odd pose....talk about pulling the ball. LOL

An interesting feature of men's wear from that era: a belt loop in-line with front zippers/button flys.

I didn't realize that glass negatives could have such short shutter speeds- appears to have completely stopped motion, here.
