It's on the north side of the rock. It doesn't seem to be marked on the OSI 25" - Presumably it's a branch coming down from Goold's Cross - maybe a line for sugar beet or a BNM line. I'm not sure where you got the station opened date from.

An article in the August 17, 1923 edition of the Southern Cross says the following: "On Sunday, June 3, for the first time in 300 years, Benediction of the Most Holy Sacrament, was given inside the gates of the historic old castle at Cashel, on the occasion of a Corpus Christi procession. It is stated that only once before was Benediction given inside these gates, and on the Rock, and then only by stealth. Giving a date of Sunday June 3rd 1923. (Though isn't Corpus Christi normally on a Thursday?)
