Camouflage class at N[ew] Y[ork] University, where men and women are preparing for jobs in the Army or in industry, New York, N.Y. This model has been camouflaged and photographed. The girl is correcting oversights detected in the camouflaging of a model

This must be how the camouflage for the Boeing production facilities in Seattle was created. An entire little (fake) city built on top of the factory area - trees, landscaping, roads, houses, and all. Too bad they don't have the same decoration now, it would make a nice relaxing spot for the workers to take a break during the day.

Niall McAuley Galicia near Poland is another new one on me. The nucleus of historic Galicia lies within the modern regions of western Ukraine: Lviv, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk near Halych.[9] In the 18th century, territories that later became part of the modern Polish regions of Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Subcarpathian Voivodeship and Silesian Voivodeship were added to Galicia.

Never knew Kaliningrad used to be Koningsberg, either. Buda and Pesta marked separately.
